Fairway Park, a South Scottsdale neighborhood developed in the early 1950's made for a unique higher-end inner-city desert community. This home was by far one of the most run down properties in the area, an original 1600 SF home surrounded by much larger updated homes on a large lot. Unique home in that it sat at a diagonal to the street so utilizing the existing floor plan took some creativity.  Demolishing most of the home but leaving 25% of the walls to take advantage of some permit discounts called for some extensive truss and framing work.
